Ovendale Scores Three Goals as Oklahoma City FC Tops Pines 1779

Jade Ovendale scored three times and added an assist, as Oklahoma City FC completed a weekend road sweep with a 5-3 victory over Pines 1779 in Nacogoches, TX.  Ovendale now leads the Women’s Premier Soccer league with 12 goals on the season.
Dria Hampton assisted on Ovendale’s first goal and scored one of her own as Oklahoma City FC took a 3-1 lead at the half.  The game was at 4-3 Oklahoma City at the 80 minute mark when a lightning delay was called due to severe storms in the area.  After play resumed, Addy Guthrie scored on a pass from Ovendale in the final minute to give Oklahoma City FC the 5-3 final margin.
Now 8-3-2, Oklahoma City FC will close the regular season at home Friday night at 7:30 p.m. against FC Tulsa Spirit at Lakeview Field in Yukon. Tickets are five dollars at the gate, kids 12 and under receive free admission.
