Meghan McMahon Black put the home team on the board in the fifth minute on a feed by Jaclyn Purvine. Oklahoma City FC took a 2-0 when Pamela Caballeros converted a penalty kick at 39′. That lead held up until 52′ when Houston South Select’s Courtney Chadney-Molero, a Univesity of Tulsa product, scored on a penalty kick. Goalkeeper Jordan Burbank held off Houston South Select from that point, and Oklahoma City FC added two late goals from Kat Mundy and Alissa Jones to seal the victory.
Oklahoma City FC is now 1-0-1 on the season and will remain home to host the Texas Titans at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are five dollars at the gate. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
